The series of conferences "Les Mercredis de l’Institut océanographique" proposes a talk given by Hervé Claustre (CNRS) & Yvan Griboval (OceanoScientific) on Wednesday 13th of April at The Oceanographic Institute, PARIS.
The Southern Ocean is the one that contributes most as anthropogenic carbon sink. Much of climate change evidences here. Yet, the Southern Ocean remains largely unknown because it is remote and hostile for navigation. Its observation thus remains a major challenge for oceanographers, meteorologists and climatologists.
