The project was dedicated to a particular application of underwater gliders of the SeaExplorer type, eventually equipped with a propulsion system.

Such gliders are particularly adapted for coastal zones and shallow marine environments and the implementation of specific sensors allow continuous measurements of seawater quality to be performed. In this context, our group contributed to the development of the sensors for the monitoring of (harmful) algal blooms as well as of jellyfish.

This project, a collaboration between private companies and academic centers, was funded by the French Ministry of Economics, Industries and Employment.
